Menu Plan for May 14-20


One of my kids is struggling with yet another pretty bad eczema outbreak, so I’m trying to go dairy-free for a few weeks to see if it helps.  Below is our mostly DF menu.  I will use almond or rice milk in lieu of cow’s milk in recipes and avoid cheese and yogurt.  I’ve had to do this in the past, so I know it’s doable and probably healthier for our family anyway.  If anyone has any favorite DF recipes or sites, sure would appreciate some leads.  Have a great week!

Dinners:

Monday: whole wheat spaghetti with marinara sauce, Wilted Lettuce Salad, strawberries

TuesdayChicken Penne Pasta with Asparagus, cantaloupe

Wednesday: Shrimp Cobb Salad, bakery baguette, pineapple

Thursday: leftovers

Friday: Chicken Noodle Soup, Honey Wheat Bread, fruit salad

Saturday: Sweet Potato French Toast, bacon, pear slices

Sunday: Broiled Parmesan Tilapia, Cascadian Farms french fries, Roasted Asparagus

Lunch Ideas:

almond butter & honey sandwiches

Roll-ups

blue corn chips, veggies, and hummus

leftovers

Whole Wheat Chocolate Pumpkin Waffles
