Kelly Gilion, blogger and owner of the shop Plume, lives in Columbia, Missouri with her husband and their three kids, 8-year old boy/girl twins and 5-year-old daughter. She contributes articles to Thriving Home about DIY projects, decorating, kid projects, and more.
Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Kelly graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. After spending 13 years in Sales & Marketing in corporate America, she became a stay-at-home mom in 2005 after the birth of her twins.
In 2013, she found herself contemplating what life would look like as her little ones grew closer to starting school. Flash forward to 2016, when she celebrated the three-year anniversary of opening Plume, a small brick & mortar shop which provides a storefront to over 65 local mid-Missouri artists & makers. Kelly loves all things vintage, handmade & local and serves as the designer, curator, and head door greeter at Plume every Thursday thru Saturday.
