30 Easy Meals for the New Year (with Plan to Eat)

By Polly Conner

There is a much simpler way to get your favorite meals on the table this year. And it’s free right now. Let us tell you how the magic happens and share some easy recipes with you.

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Plan to Eat but opinions are all mine.

Allow me to be honest. I didn’t menu plan this week. And guys, evenings have been mayhem. 5 p.m. rolls around, and I have no idea what I’m making for dinner. Kids are hangry. I’m on edge because I’m having to use my small amount of energy left to whip up a dinner on the fly. Mayhem.

Now, maybe that’s a tad dramatic. BUT, I have been brutally reminded on why I take the 30 minutes each Saturday to plan out meals for the coming week. In short, menu planning = my kids aren’t eating Cheez-Its and string cheese for dinner. #worthit

While menu planning comes easily for my personality, I totally get that it’s not natural for some. That is why I’m excited to tell you about this pretty great resource, Plan to Eat

Plan to Eat is an online meal planner that allows you to collect and organize your recipes (from the web, cookbooks, or your own collection) and drag them onto a meal planning calendar on the days you’d like to eat them. Wait, it gets better….After dragging them in place, their software can automatically generate a grocery list for you (organized by store department!). I kid you not. It’s beautiful.

You can sign up for a free 30-day trial at any time, but January is a great time to give it a try because you can participate in their Easy Meals for the New Year Challenge.

What’s the Easy Meals for the New Year Challenge?

For the challenge, Plan to Eat has scoured the internet and collected 30 FABULOUS simple recipes that anyone can make. They’ve even included two of ours: Chicken Parmesan Casserole and our 20 Minute Pumpkin Chili. When you use your free trial, you can access these recipes for your meal plans.

Here’s a visual for my people who learn better by watching. (Hi, me!)

So here’s the question, why NOT give it a try? You have 30 free days to decide if this works for you or not. If not, you can go back to the mayhem of not knowing what’s for dinner and feel OK about it since you gave the whole meal planning thing a shot. 🙂
