“Real Food Meets Reality” Menu Plan: April 19-25

"Real Food Meets Reality" Menu Plan: April 19-25

A major key to eating healthier and saving money is meal planning. When I plan my meals, I feel less stress throughout the week, spend less time and money at the grocery store, and usually serve my family a fairly well-rounded diet throughout the week. My hope is that my mostly “real food” meal plans each Saturday will help you do the same!

P.S. Please don’t feel overwhelmed when you look at my plan. I certainly do NOT get to all of my plans each week. I do what I can with the time I have and then we eat a lot of leftovers.

Steak Kabobs
Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes
Oven Roasted Broccoli and Cauliflower

Monday: Meatless

whole wheat spaghetti with marinara sauce
Pesto Cheese Bread (on whole grain bread)
green salad with Balsamic Parmesan Dressing
pear slices

Wednesday: Breakfast for Dinner

Apple Cinnamon Baked French Toast*
No Fail Bacon
sliced strawberries

*Double to have leftovers for breakfast.

Tomato Bisque
grilled cheese sandwiches
raw veggies with dip

Baked Chicken Parmesan*
whole wheat egg noodles (tossed with a little butter)
apple slices

*Double and save extra for future freezer meal.

Eat out (Reality is…I’m tired after cooking all week!)

Breakfast Ideas:

Copabanana Cake
yogurt parfaits
fried eggs and whole wheat toast
whole grain cereal with milk
