Real Food Menu Plan: September 14-20

Real Food Menu Plan: September 1-7

I think as moms, we often worry about our kids getting enough fruits and vegetables in their diets. I especially want my little people to stay healthy as we enter into flu season.

As you’ll notice with my recipes, I often up the nutrition of typical dishes in a sneaky yet still yummy sort of way. Your family will love and never question what’s in the Sweet Potato French Toast, for instance. In fact, I never even think to not add in pumpkin or sweet potato or apple to my french toast now.

May the fruit and veggie force be with you this week!

Sunday: Italian Sausage & Tortellini Soup, Wheat Rolls, green salad, grapes

Monday: 7 Layer Taco Dip with organic tortilla chips & raw veggies sticks, fruit salad (Tip: For picky kids, I make cheese and bean quesadillas at the same time I put together the dip.)

Tuesday: Clean out the freezer/fridge night

Wednesday: BFD*: Sweet Potato French Toast, bacon, Green Smoothie (Note: cook extra bacon for Friday’s meal)

Thursday: Turkey Pesto Paninis, steamed broccoli, cantaloupe

Friday: Southwest Chicken and Bacon Wraps, chips and salsa, mango

Saturday: Marinated Steak Kabobs, Oven Fries, Asian Slaw
