Stromboli Pizza

FUN TO MAKE, DIP & EAT

key ingredients:

Whole Wheat Pizza   Dough Italian Pork or   Turkey Sausage Mozzarella Cheese Parmesan Cheese Italian Seasoning Garlic Powder Uncured Pepperoni

Roll out dough and divide the pizza dough in half. Then roll the half out into a large rectangle, about 11×15.

1

Spread 1/4 cup of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1 1/2 inch border on the long side that’s away from you.

2

Starting with the long end that’s close to you, slowly roll up the dough into a cylinder, pulling in the edges along the way to seal.

3

Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top and sides of the Stromboli with egg wash and sprinkle seasoning and parmesan cheese.

4

Bake until golden brown, about 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand for 10 minutes.

5

Serve warm with the remaining marinara sauce.

6

Freeze for Later:

Prep the Stromboli(s) just up until it’s time to bake. Wrap the unbaked Stromboli pizza in parchment paper and then in foil and insert into a freezer bag.

I made this, and my super picky husband said it was tasty! ★★★★★ -Morgan
