Tomato Bisque

key ingredients:

Onions Tomato Paste Sugar Salt & Pepper Carrots

Heat the oil in a large stock pot and saute the onion, carrots, and celery, then add garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.


Stir in the chicken stock, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, salt and pepper, stirring and scraping the bottom of the pan for any browned bits.


Use an immersion blender to puree the soup in the pot until fairly smooth.


Stir in the butter and half and half. Taste and then season the soup with salt, pepper, and hot sauce to your preference.


Serve with: -Grilled Cheese -Homemade Croutons -Salad

Freeze for Later:

Fully cook the soup and allow it to cool completely. Then dish it out into mason jars.
