The Banana Boat: The perfect after school snack!

Banana Boat

A classic and healthier after school snack for kids and parents!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 12 tablespoons peanut butter (sub: almond or sun butter)
  • Optional: 1-2 tablespoon chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Hollow out the “canoe” by cutting out a “V” shape along the inside of the banana curve. Remove the top sliver.
  2. Use a butter knife to spread peanut butter inside the “boat”.
  3. Top with a few chocolate chips (aka “sailors”). Or, if your kids will bear it, you can add raisins. Mine don’t. They are spoiled now.
  4. Bonus: My mom used to pop the banana top back on. Or you can eat it by itself.
