Cinnamon Tortilla Rolls

Kids love to make and enjoy this easy treat that tastes a lot like cinnamon rolls. Moms love that they are a whole lot better for kids than cinnamon rolls.

Yield: 1 roll up 1x
Total: 2 minutes
Scale:

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-inch) whole wheat tortilla
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar, or to taste (you can use coconut sugar as a healthier alternative)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Lay a tortilla on a plate, and spread butter all over one side.
  2. Sprinkle a thin layer of sugar on top of the butter.
  3. Sprinkle a thin dusting of cinnamon over the top.
  4. Microwave the tortilla until the butter is melted and tortilla is soft, about 15 seconds or so. (Alternately, you can place this on a sheet pan and put it under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until melted. Watch closely!)
  5. Roll up the tortilla and cut into 1 inch pieces. Enjoy!
