Ingredients

  • 1 package hot dogs look for nitrate, nitrite-free
  • 1 package crescent rolls

Instructions

  • To make your mummies, slice the bottom of a hotdog open to create legs. Now carefully cut each side of the hotdog to make arms.
  • Slice crescent rolls into thin strips. Wrap your strips imperfectly around the hotdog, making sure the arms stick out and aren't trapped under the dough.
  • Cook according to the crescent rolls' instructions and serve warm.

Notes

Homemade Crescent Rolls: If you want a healthier alternative to store-bought dough, try the crescent roll dough from our Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll recipe. Just keep in mind, that dough recipe will make A LOT so buy a lot of hot dogs!
Healthier Hotdogs: We get uncured hotdogs with no additives from ButcherBox, our favorite meat subscription company.
Storing & Reheating Leftovers: If you have leftover mummy hotdogs, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few days. To reheat, you can use a microwave or oven until they are heated through. I like to then put mine in the toaster oven for a few minutes to crisp up the dough a bit.
