For years I tried to cook bacon either in a frying pan or the microwave. What a holy greasy mess! But, I learned a well-known secret a while back. I promise you’ll have perfect bacon every time without the clean up! This oven method makes prepping favorites like Southwest Chicken and Bacon Wraps or Avocado Basil Pasta a cinch.
- 1 pound bacon (uncured if possible)
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet (that has sides) with foil for easy clean up.
- Place a cooling rack on top of the baking sheet and spray with cooking spray. Line the bacon up side by side, making sure the pieces do not overlap much.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or to your desired doneness. That's it!
