Why Make our Homemade Caesar Dressing?
I may or may not have told my husband I wanted to take a bath in this dressing, lol. Yep, itโs one of those lick the bowl clean kind of recipes.
I know it’s tempting to just grab a bottle from the store, but I seriously encourage you to make (and double!) this one. Hereโs why our team loves this dressing:
- Easy & approachable: No raw eggs or anchovies, just ingredients you already know and love. And it only takes a few minutes to make.
- Creamy & flavorful: Mayonnaise, Parmesan, garlic, Dijon, and lemon juice create a classic Caesar taste.
- Kid-friendly & versatile: Works on romaine salads, pasta salads, grilled chicken, or even as a dip.
- Meal prep friendly: Make a batch ahead and store in the fridge for up to a week.
With this dressing, you get all the rich, tangy flavor of traditional Caesar dressing without intimidating ingredients or complicated steps.
Ingredients
Here are the simple ingredients that go into our dressing. You might already have these on hand!

Ingredient Notes:
- Mayo: Notably this is a key ingredient. I really like to use Avocado Mayonaise because it usually has cleaner, healthier ingredients but retains the mayo flavor well. You can try using plain Greek yogurt as a substitute, but we have not tested this.
- Worcestershire Sauce: Not all brands are created equal. I really like the Lea and Perrins brand if you can find it. Cleaner ingredients and great flavor.
- Dijon Mustard: This is another key player that adds depth and complexity to the dressing. I tested mine with Grey Poupon brand but any should do the trick.
- Lemon: Last but not least, please use a fresh lemon. The juice and zest is essential to the flavor profile. Tip: To get the juices flowing, roll it on the counter a few times and/or microwave it for 15 seconds.
How to Make & Store Caesar Dressing
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Parmesan, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, pepper, Worcestershire, and lemon zest until combined.
Umm, that’s it. Not much to it, huh?
Oh, and cover it and refrigerate until you’re ready to use it. It’ll hold well in the fridge for up to 5-7 days.

Recipe FAQs
I found that it holds well in the fridge for at least 5-7 days in my test.
