It feels a bit silly to be sharing a post about how to make garlic bread. I mean, isn’t it kind of a no-brainer?
BUT, we want to help you take your garlic bread game to the next level. This method results in a crispy-soft, tasty bread that is sure to please.
You will not regret reading this post, my friends.
Start with a french loaf.
Slice and dice that puppy up into about 1/2-1 inch wide pieces. A bread knife will be your best friend for this task.
Using softened butter, spread a generous amount over each piece until the surface is pretty much coated.
Sprinkle a little bit of garlic salt over the top followed by a bit of dried parsley flakes.
Lay them out on a baking sheet and put them in the oven (not pre-heated). Turn the broiler on and let them broil for about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on them though! Each oven heats up differently. Take them out when the tops start to get brown and crispy.
What you can’t see underneath these crispy pieces of bread is the soft, airy texture. It’s so dang good.

- 1 french loaf
- 4 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- Slice the french loaf into 1/2-1 inch wide pieces and lay pieces out on a baking sheet.
- Spread softened butter, covering the tops of the slices of bread.
- Sprinkle garlic salt and parsley flakes evenly over the tops.
- Place pan in oven and bring to a broil. Broil bread until the tops start to brown (about 5 minutes if starting oven from cold.)
