Gifts Under $25
ZipChip
A fun stocking stuffer! My teen son and his friends toss this mini rubber flying disc around non-stop. It’s really addicting, floats in water, and can’t really hurt anything or anybody because it’s so small and soft.
Apple Airtag & Key Chain
The Airtag is a sanity saver. Attach to his keys and your teen boy will never lose them again! Grab this keychain to go with the air tag.
LifeStraw
For the outdoors/camping/survivalist-type guy, this portable water filter straw is a cheap, practical, and super cool gift. My 16-year-old son always takes it on hikes.
Gatorade Insulated Squeeze Bottle
The old school Gatorade sports bottles have been refreshed in new colors and patterns that teen guys are loving. They also come in stainless steel versions now.
License Plate Frame
For the new driver, snag a license plate frame for his favorite NFL team or really anything he is in to!
Chums Wallet
This is the gift he has no idea how much he needs! Ideal to keep his student ID, credit card, and keys in one place, this makes keeping up with his stuff SO much easier.
Aviator Sunglasses
These are on the teen most wanted list, but let’s be honest…they’re going to lose them. Thankfully, these have been rated by name-brand fans as every bit as good without breaking the bank. They come in a bunch of different colors, so you may just want to go ahead and buy that replacement pair too.
Spotify Gift Card
Spotify is THE music choice for most teens. Every teen I know eventually begs their parents to sign up for the “free premium trial” so they can listen without ads. Cue the Spotify gift card. This gift card comes in 1-, 3-, or 6-month service options. They get ad-free music and you won’t get a credit card charge when they forget to cancel the trial!
Teen Boy Books
Here are a few great book ideas for teen boys that my kids have read and enjoyed and are mom-approved.
Fantasy:
- Skyward Series – Both of my teens are huge fantasy lovers and Brandon Sanderson novels top their list of favorites. His books are complex, engaging stories and fairly clean content (very little swearing or romance/sexual content). This is his YA series.
- The Stormlight Archive – This is Brandon Sanderson’s most popular series. It’s long but oh-so-worth-it. My teens read through these faster than most books. Excellent fantasy novels.
Historical:
- Unbroken – Your teen boy will be captivated by this heroic, redemptive, true story.
- Boys in the Boat – My son said, after Unbroken, this is his favorite book. I have to admit it’s one of mine too!

Super comfortable, durable, easy to clean, affordable, and in style right now…men’s Crocs come in all colors and sizes. The fuzzy crocs are also popular with teen guys.
